Sentence of Rafic Labboun

The SABA imam Rafic Labboun was released from the
Lompoc Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) in on June 29, 2012, only to be arrested again in Mérida, Mexico, for parole violation. Labboun was in the company of two other Hezbollah operatives from Belize.
On July 19, 2010, Judge Ronald M. Whyte sentenced Rafic Labboun to 27 months of imprisonment in a Federal jail followed by three years of probation. Judge Whyte also ordered the convicted felon to pay restitution in the amount of $102,213.99 to the various banks which he had defrauded.
Labboun brought with him to the San Jose Federal courtroom a large mob of followers, including Khomeinists from Shia Association of Bay Area (Saba Mosque of San Jose), to demonstrate that he does not lack local support. Once Judge Whyte pronounced the sentence, two Labboun female supporters started sobbing... Labboun was taken into custody immediately thereafter and imprisoned at the Santa Clara Main Jail in Santa Clara, California.
